With approximately 60 million tourists visiting every year, it's no wonder that New York is our most popular location to date! Our talented photographers have captured some incredible shots of customers around Brooklyn Bridge, Times Square, and Central Park - some of the most iconic New York landscapes. And this recent shoot with Linda and her partner is no exception.
Linda is lucky enough to live in her favourite city in the world. "The New York City skyline gets me every time," she says. And we can see why...
What’s your dream travel destination?
I don't have just one! My dream travel would be a round the world trip to visit every continent. There is still so much of the world to explore.
Name your must-have travel accessory.
Definitely my phone.. I use it as my main camera now, and thanks to my cell phone plan, I have have data service in other countries , so I can pull up Google Maps to make sure I'm not getting lost, check the hours for an attraction online, or even look up somewhere to eat!
What’s your favourite city in the world and why?
Despite having travelled around the world, New York will always remain my favourite city. There's just something about the hustle and bustle of the city. The New York City skyline gets me every time, and I'm so thankful and lucky to have grown up and lived in this city my entire life. I'm always discovering something new about this great city.
What’s your favourite leisure activity whilst your travelling? It could be something mellow like lying on the beach, or something more active like rock climbing.
I love walking around and exploring the new city I'm in! Usually that means checking out that city's public transportation, the parks, or cute shops, bars and restaurants. I always bring a pair of sneakers because I know I'll end up walking/exploring whatever city I'm in.
What’s your favourite travel app?
I don't have just one! My most used app is definitely Google Maps.. It has definitely come in handy while traveling abroad - just to make sure I'm not getting lost and wandering around unnecessarily. Google maps has also been a lifesaver in regards for transportation information, so I don't look too much like a tourist either!
Was your Travelshoot for a special occasion?
Sort of.. we were celebrating our 7 year anniversary, and figured that this was a great opportunity to get some nice professional pictures taken of ourselves.
What did you enjoy most about your Travelshoot?
Just being able to explore a new neighborhood. When we lived in New York, we lived in separate boroughs (Manhattan for me and Queens for him), so we rarely spent any time in Brooklyn. What was nice about the Travelshoot was that we were able to check out the Dumbo area and explore it after the Travelshoot was over.
Which is your favourite Travelshoot image?
Why do you think travellers will love Travelshoot?
I think travellers will love Travelshoot because it provides an opportunity to connect with a local photographer, who can photograph you/your group in a iconic setting, plus show you around to hidden spots. Additionally, the photos are gorgeous and well framed/shot, so it makes a good keepsake/memory as well!
