One of our favourite parts to our job is growing our list of locations and recruiting more fabulous local photographers in destinations across the world. So it's not surprising that we were super excited to get our first ever Manila Travelshoot images back. And oh wow did they give us the travel bug to explore the capital of the Philippines. We chatted to the lovely Julienne from We Are Sole Sisters, after her Manila Travelshoot with her childhood friend Jacqueline.
What’s your dream travel destination?
Argentina and Chile. I have never been to South / Latin America and in my head it's fun, romantic, mysterious, passionate, natural, mystical, and exotic all at once. I'm in love with Tango, Salsa - all the dancing - plus with the language and culture/history as well.
Name your must-have travel accessory.
A camera to remember special moments by. Or comfortable shoes that enable me to travel well and further.
What’s your favourite city in the world and why?
Berlin: it's the most honest city I know. It challenges your prejudice with logic and kindness, it proves you wrong every single day so much so that you can't help but open your mind. It is permissive without being hedonistic. It's underground, accepting, gritty, bright, real, intelligent, talented, cultural, informed, diverse, philosophical...
What’s your favourite leisure activity whilst your travelling? It could be something mellow like lying on the beach, or something more active like rock climbing.
I really can't choose, because I like to try everything. Maybe it would be exploring whether by foot (hiking?) or by bicycle along the coast...

What did you like most about your Travelshoot?
That it was enjoyable - the company (childhood friend, photographer) was great and made the time pass pleasantly
Which is your favourite Travelshoot image?
Why do you think travellers will love Travelshoot?
Because it's a more natural and fun way of staging a photo shoot in a studio, plus the photos you get will be better!
