How becoming a mother changed her business...

Brisbane based Travelshoot founder Sarah Pearce skyrocketed with her business into the travel industry after winning the national 'My Shark Tank' vote courtesy of Channel 10 and Optus almost 2 years ago.  Described as 'the must have travel accessory' for any families or couple getaways, the Travelshoot experience is at it's simplest - a way to capture life's most special moments in an extraordinary way.

After her own photoshoot with a professional photographer friend in New York, it was a few shots overlooking the Manhattan skyline with her husband that was the 'brainchild' for the business.

Two years on, Travelshoot now connects other travellers with hundreds of hand-picked and tested photographers in over 100 cities around the globe.

"Selfies or asking other tourists for a quick favour to grab a photo when you travel is the norm, but most often than not, they don't fit everyone in the frame or do the amazing location you've travelled to justice. I think this is the main appeal of what we do - whether it's Paris, Bali or Byron Bay, our local photographers know where to get the best shots and ensure everyone is in shots for beautiful memories together" Pearce revealed

Recognising that, it's no wonder that mothers are attracted most to the experience.

"As a new mother myself, I have a totally new appreciation for what we do. I can relate to mothers who tell us about their frustrations of always having to be the photographer on a family holiday. I think it's common for mothers to want to capture as many moments as possible, we really want memories to cherish as we get older"

In Australia the most popular Travelshoot locations to date have been idyllic beachside locations such as Byron Bay, Noosa, Bondi and the Gold Coast. Internationally, the Travelshoot team are seeing strong demand for key locations in Europe, Asia and America.

"New York is always in top demand, but we're seeing places like Bali, London, Santorini and Italian destinations also be very popular"

Whilst the celebrity and travel blogger accolades are nice, Ms Pearce confides it's a happy feeling to see incredible albums come back for all types of customers;

"Up until now, the assumption would be to hire a holiday photographer would be complicated and risky business knowing who you're going to get. Having curated and tested our own team of photographers, I love that we can now make this experience simple, affordable and most importantly - enjoyable for our clientele who want a unique and memorable travel experience"
