Can you guess which city has 165 canals, 1,281 bridges and approximately 881,000 bicycles? We're excited to be welcoming the beautiful city of Amsterdam to our network. We chat to Jessica from A Wanderlust for Life about her travel plans and what she enjoyed most about her recent Travelshoot.
What’s your dream travel destination?
Somewhere with warm water, crystal clear water, amazing landscapes, and delicious food. I'm thinking Bali might fit that description. I really just want to be surrounded by beauty!
Name your must-have travel accessory.
My camera! I know it's so cliche but really, I want to keep those memories and even take some video to really capture that feel of a place. I want to remember my wonderful trips and I'm such a visual person!
What’s your favourite city in the world and why?
Amsterdam. It's beautiful and being in the canal on a boat when it's warm is pretty much the best thing ever. I love wandering around the city watching the bikes go by, looking at the architecture, and watching people doing their people watching. There's always something to get into as well. Festivals are always happening and it's so easy to get involved!
What’s your favourite leisure activity whilst your travelling? It could be something mellow like lying on the beach, or something more active like rock climbing.
Eating at a delicious restaurant. It's one of the things we like to splurge on because a good meal can be as memorable as an entire trip!
What’s your favourite travel app?
Yelp. I always find restaurants and read reviews before heading out. Though sometimes we follow our nose too!
Was your Travelshoot for a special occasion?
We've been together 12 years, so I thought it would be fun to do something completely different and to have these memories is priceless!
What did you enjoy most about your Travelshoot?
Posing around tourists. Feels that you're super special when you have a photographer with you...like you have your own paparazzi! That was pretty fun.
Which is your favourite Travelshoot image?
The dancing houses image. I am in love with the background and our pose. Sometimes all elements come all together to create a great photo that you fall in love with.
Why do you think travellers will love Travelshoot?
As a frequent traveler, I fall in love with places. To have these kind of photos is the perfect souvenir. When traveling with your partner, there aren't many opportunities to get photos together. Even if you find a kind stranger, they probably won't be any good! Having a professional with you who know poses and places is key in getting amazing memories in a photo.
