A family adventure in Queenstown...

We love clients just like Tom - perhaps a little hesitant about having a photoshoot whilst on holidays (isn't everyone!) but after never having professional family photos taken before - we LOVE that a recent Queenstown Travelshoot helped him capture some truly special family moments on their recent adventure abroad...

On this trip, why did you choose Queenstown?
It has everything!  If the snow is good you have the choice of 3 mountains within an hours drive.  If it's not you have world class attractions for all ages, beautiful walks, amazing wineries and restaurants and plenty of accommodation options.  In summer, all of the above plus a pile of watersports!

Best tip for someone travelling to Queenstown?
There is no bad time to go!  Rent a car when you go as there are plenty of great things to see in and around Queenstown. Arrowtown, Cardrona, Glenorchy (Middle Earth), plenty of wineries, Wanaka etc

Best tip (you chose!) for travelling with kids?
Tip one is to give them their own suitcase and make them responsible for it.  And I’d also recommend to rent apartment style accommodation (with kitchenette, washing machine)

What's your favourite city and why?
London - I lived there for 10-12 years but despite that I still love that you can find a new story around every corner.  The history, the architecture, the pubs and the parks are all spectacular!

How did you find your Travelshoot experience?
Amazing! We had never done a family photo shoot before and were worried we would have to spend 2 hours posing for shots.  The local Travelshoot photographer Thomas just had us doing relatively normal things while he took the shots.

Why do you think travel memories / family memories matter?
Travel is the number 1 priority in our family.  We love showing the kids different cultures, ways of life and amazing places.  These create great memories for them and for us to talk about with them as well as show them just how lucky they are to live where we do and have the opportunities we have. All the travel definitely brings us closer together as a family.
