The travel deal that had Steve Baxter torn on Shark Tank

For anyone who tuned into last nights Shark Tank episode, the Travelshoot team were blown away to be featured in the episode when it came to the enticing deal with Crooked Compass

We held our breathe as our own investor Steve Baxter was oh so close to doing a deal with Lisa Pagotto, the founder of Crooked Compass - who are the first in Australia to specialise in small and custom tours that have a focus on genuine cultural immersion. Think well beyond your average group tour, we're talking visiting reindeer tribes of Mongolia, kayaking with killer whales, or even discovering the real and wild side of Ethiopia

We loved that both sharks Steve Baxter and Janine Allis realised there were synergies between our business's, and we couldn't agree more. In our own meetings with Steve we often find ourselves talking about the local insights and types of local photographers we have found around the world sometimes more than the photos themselves. So we were excited watching the deal unfold as he really did understand how Crooked Compass just like us, are about genuine and real local experiences.

A big shout out to Lisa who did the stand out pitch to the Sharks last night, it's such a nerve racking position to be in and she nailed it. Even more, to capture the interest of all sharks and be recognised as such a valuable founder, is a rare moment on Shark Tank.

Travelshoot is excited for what's to come in this space and can't wait to be collaborating with Crooked Compass experiences.
