It’s safe to say that Vegas is a lot of fun, regardless of how old you are. Some love the dance-until-dawn nightlife, while others go to Vegas to experience its glitz and glamour. Whatever your expectations, Paul and Amy know how to keep it classy. This is what it’s like to vacation in Vegas when you're 40-something.
Amy, please tell us a bit about yourself and your Paul
We are a Queensland couple who have spent the last 20 years travelling together. We are parents to three beautiful daughters, and live on a farm in the Lockyer Valley. We have a huge passion for travel and at times we’ve worked multiple jobs to enable us to visit destinations of our dreams.

Tell us a bit about your holiday, and why you went to Vegas?
What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, right? We spent a fantastic week in Vegas celebrating Paul’s 40th birthday. We love the city, the people, the food and its vibe. It’s just a really fun place to be! We spent most of our time on the Strip, and didn’t even make it through every casino and hotel. Time flies in Vegas!
We took a helicopter trip to the Grand Canyon which was outstanding. The other highlight of the trip was a celebratory chef’s tasting dinner at the revolving restaurant with our best friends at the top of the Stratosphere Tower. The night views from up there are just unbelievable.
How did you find the Travelshoot experience?
From the immediate first contact, the customer service has been outstanding. The team has been responsive to messages and any questions I had. We met our photographer Stephanie easily on the day of the shoot and immediately loved her!
After a bit of conversation, we hit the Strip and started the shoot. Stephanie managed to capture ‘us’ perfectly, despite only just meeting us. To be honest, I thought my husband would find it a little awkward, but he found himself really enjoying the shoot, and we both had a lot of fun and really enjoyed it. Stephanie went above and beyond to give us creative photos in all of our favourite Vegas Strip locations.
We could not be happier with our experience, and will definitely be Travelshoot customers again.
Why did you think it was important to capture holiday memories?
Life is short, and we like to pack in as many adventures and experiences as we can. You never know what is around the corner in life, so embrace it! One day we may be unable to travel. Taking these photos ensures that you keep your memories alive, both for yourself and other family members.
We find it difficult to get a good family or couple photo while on holidays. We usually get a random stranger to snap something for us, but it rarely seems to be a great photo with everyone looking and with good parameters. When I heard about Travelshoot, I thought YES! This is what we need. We will always look back on these photos and remember how fantastic the trip was.
