HEY
Christina, please tell us a bit about yourself and your family?
I was born and bred in Sydney, and my mother’s heritage is Italian, and my father is Australian. Shaun was born in Christchurch, New Zealand, and both his parents are from Samoa.
I met Shaun in 2012 while I was working at the Hilton Hotel in Sydney. We have two kids, our daughter Layla is 3-years-old, and our son Imani is 2-years-old. Both our babies were unexpected and unplanned, but we’re so lucky to have them in our lives! Shaun recently proposed so we will be getting married in 2020.
Tell us a bit about why you decided to get family photos done close to home?
I hadn’t explored the full Travelshoot locations, but I knew something close to home was the easiest and most convenient option for us, especially with the kids. We weren’t too fussed about the location, we just wanted some lovely photos together.
How did you find the Travelshoot experience?
We had such a fabulous time! There’s always the worry that a family photoshoot will be an awkward and stressful situation, but our photographers were just amazing!
Even Shaun, who wasn’t looking forward to it, was so pleased with the results and had such a fun time at the shoot. He was more excited for the photos to arrive than I was :)
You would never tell that it poured down with rain, or that my son was in a bad mood. Our photographers were so relaxed, and understanding of what kids can be like, which really made a difference for us.
Why did you think it was important to capture family memories?
As a parent, life is so busy. When I try to think back to even a year ago, it’s all such a blur! Family photos are so important in capturing memories and moments in time. I know my whole family will cherish these forever!
